First Lady Rev. Patience

First Lady Rev. Patience Owusu-Sechere is the Co-founder and Co-Pastor of Divine Grace Church, a great prayer warrior, and intercessor. She was ordained at Christ For the Nation in Dallas, Texas, and an active member of the Christ for the Nations Fellowship of Ministers and Churches (FMC). She also acquire biblical education from the Dallas Baptist University (DBU) where she studied in many areas including marriage and family counseling.

Her ministry began in the early 1980s in Presbyterian Church in Kumasi Ghana (Bantama Presbyterian Church) where she served in many positions including Children Service Ministry as a children service teacher. Most of the children who were blessed to sit at her feet to receive teachings from the word of God are now serving as Pastors in Presbyterian Churches in Ghana and around the world.

First Lady Patience is a great woman of the word. Her husband the senior Pastor has testified many times in the pulpit about how grateful he is to God for giving him a woman who has such great deposits of revelation knowledge and also a great prayer warrior to be her partner in life and ministry. It may interest you to know that not only is her firstname Patience, she is indeed a woman of patience. Every one that has come close to her will not argue with me that she lives by her name. That character treat “Patience” is the driving force helping her and her husband to succeed in ministry. Patience’s mission is to engage, inspire, uplift and empower through organized women empowered monthly meetings. She believes in setting women on fire for Jesus and keeping the fire burning. Hence the name of women ministry of DGC, “Women on Fire for Jesus” and the slogan “Keep the Fire Burning”.

Patience’ commitment to helping others is evidenced through her lifestyle of service. She considers serving the Lord from the sincerity of her heart; supporting her husband in ministry and raising God-fearing children is her primary purpose on this hearth and of course her greatest achievement. When speaking with her she expressed her firm believe that as godly mother of five, the best way to raise godly children is to be an active role-model demonstrating the love of God before your children. As loving mother and Grandmother Rev. Mrs Patience Owusu-Sechere and her husband Rev. Joe Owusu-Sechere have five children (Gabe, Tricia, Dan, Joel and Anna) and four grandchildren (Arianna, Julian, Timothy and Alayna).
